Work areas

The QUANTUM project is divided into seven work packages led by organisations from different countries. WP1-WP4 are technical work packages and WP5-WP7 are horizontal work packages.

WP1

Specification of the data quality and utility, and maturity label

  • Bring together the necessary conceptual grounds and evidence for an EHDS data quality and utility label focusing on evaluating the quality of the data per se and the maturity levels of data holder’s organisations.

Design, development and testing of the label

  • Design, develop and test small scale a conformance checking tool that allows:
  1. Data holders to provide standardised information on the data quality and utility of their datasets
  2. Data holders to report on the maturity elements
  3. The inclusion of data access bodies and data users experience on the information published.

Mid-scale implementation of the label

  1. Deploy the conformance checking tool in a larger group of data holders participating in the project.
  2. Assessment of the implementation process where data holders will provide insights for transferability and sustainability.

Capacity building, community engagement and scale up

  • Address the capacity building and training needs of the health data access bodies through educational and supporting materials, access to good practices documentation and recommendations to decision makers.

Dissemination and outreach

  1. Design and deploy dissemination instruments based on the QUANTUM website that is deployed using W3C standards;
  2. Set up a consultation forum with research initiatives where data quality is key;
  3. Set up a consultation forum for the general public;
  4. Set up a linkage and exchange forum with projects whose objective is the development of HealthData@EU.

Coordination, evaluation and management

  • Provide efficient management and coordination of both the project and the consortium, as well as to ensure a timely project implementation, in line with its planned objectives, and a continuous evaluation.
