QUANTUM Delphi study on data quality
01.05.2024
QUANTUM invites you to participate in a crucial aspect of the project, which aims to design and develop a data quality labelling tool to be used throughout the European Health Data Space in line with Article 56 of the regulation. As an expert in your field, your insights are integral to the success of this initiative.
QUANTUM is conducting a Delphi exercise to gather expert insights and achieve consensus on dimensions for the data quality and utility label. You are invited to contribute to this pivotal phase of the project.
The Delphi exercise will consist of 2 rounds of surveys (with the possibility of a third round). The final purpose is to rate, on a 9-point Likert scale, the relevance of each data quality dimension for the assessment of quality and utility of health data.
Below are listed some important aspects to consider while conducting the Delphi rounds:
- During each round, you can save your progress and resume at a later time within the round duration. If you close the page, your progress will not be lost.
- Filling out this initial round will take about 60 minutes. This is the longest, as it introduces all concepts. Future rounds will be shorter, focusing only on the dimensions lacking consensus, with participants already familiar with the tool and definitions.
- In the Welphi platform make sure to familiarise yourself with the definition of the quality dimensions by clicking on the “eye” symbol (see video below for further details). This is crucial because these dimensions, specific to the health domain, may have different meanings and purposes than those in the general definition.
- A short video has been recorded (2:45 min) to walk you through the Welphi platform and its contents to ease the analysis you will perform. You can access it by clicking here.
Here are the dates for each round of the Delphi exercise:
- 06/05 – 27/05/24: First round (3 weeks duration)
- 03/06 – 17/06/24: Second round (2 weeks duration)
- 24/06 – 01/07/24: Optional third round (1 week duration)
